Concrete Overlays is applying a layer of new concrete on top of old, damaged concrete to fix unleveled floors and to cover all imperfections on the floor at a fraction of the cost of removing and reinstalling new concrete. A concrete overlay can be polished or just sealed. For polishing the overlay must be at least ¼ of an inch thick.
How do I know if I need a concrete overlay?
If your concrete floor is wavy, spalled, need extensive patching, is extremely porous, or has been covered with glue for long time and presents discolorations (ghosting), then you probably need an overlay. Epoxy floors are also overlays.
